Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Oreos

In case you hadn’t heard, there’s a new cafe opening in New York City that caters exclusively to cookie dough lovers.

An exceptionally clever concept, if you think about it.

I will admit to eating my fair share of dough over the years, and Sabrina will tell you frozen raw dough is one of the greatest things ever.

I don’t remember where I saw these stuffed Oreos – but considering my family’s unabashed love and devotion to anything Oreo, this was a no brainer. Alexander single-handedly ate all the dipped cookies, and informed me that I needed to make more. Actually, I think I’ll venture a bit further and experiment with a s’more’s version for Super Bowl Sunday.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Oreos

¾ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbs whole milk                                                                                                                                            1½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup semisweet mini chocolate chips

15-18 Oreo cookies, twisted open

In the bowl of a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well blended. Add the vanilla and milk, scrape the bowl thoroughly, and mix again until combined. Add the flour and chocolate chips and mix again until combined. Scoop into teaspoon size balls, roll smooth between your palms and place between the Oreo halves. Place the Oreos back together and dip into melted chocolate, if desired.
